COMMUNICATION

description

To achieve its business objectives, THALES must present a clear, consistent vision of the Group and its strategy and ambitions. The objective of the Communication function is to support this process by defining and promoting a positive, unique identity both within the company andto the outside world.

The Group communication strategy is based on the following key elements:

  • consistency in internal and external messages and communications by different units,
  • efficient use of resources for external communications (printed, audiovisual and electronic media, the Internet, media relations, exhibitions, advertising, sponsorship, public relations, trade fairs, conferences, seminars, etc.) and internal communications (in-house journals, intranet, meetings, etc.)
  • international dimension: the communication policy takes account of THALES' international dimension and multi-domestic organisation, observing specific local features and playing a role in the integration of the Group's different national cultures,
  • dialogue: the communication function listens to the requirements of the various parties concerned and uses appropriate means to meet their information needs, both externally (customer surveys and tests, journalists, financial analysts, etc.) and internally (intranet, feedback from readers, etc.).

The objective of the communication function is to express and promote the identity of THALES, thus contributing to the success of the business.
Led by Generalist Managers, the communication teams are responsible for either internal or external communications.

Typical career path within this generic job family: initial post in internal communications, with progression to external communications (or vice-versa) or by lateral mobility between units, leading to a post as a Generalist Manager.
