Heli-Expo, Houston TX, February 21, 2010 –Thales is proud to present the TopDeck® integrated helicopter avionics suite, which Sikorsky has selected to equip its brand new S-76DTM helicopter.
TopDeck® is an integrated avionics suite that – in addition to standard functions – encompasses flight management, auto-pilot, vehicle and engine management systems, as well as sensors. TopDeck® enhances safety by reducing pilot workloads, thereby allowing them to fully focus their attention on the mission at hand.
TopDeck® features a unique and innovative Icube-S concept that offers unrivalled levels of Intuitivity, Interactivity, Integration participating to provide S-76DTM helicopter with an exceptional level of Safety.
This innovative technology has contributed to making the Sikorsky S-76DTM a state-of-the-art rotorcraft. The first flight of the S-76DTM helicopter was carried out successfully in February 2009, with complete certification flight tests scheduled for early 2011.

The TopDeck® avionics suite draws on the latest Thales technologies and is based on an advanced, versatile and scalable glass cockpit architecture. This helicopter cockpit avionics system satisfies both civil and military requirements.
