- TH 2161 klystron family: up to 300 kW CW, at 500 MHz
The
TH 2161 family is the latest generation of CW klystrons specially
designed by Thales RF amplifiers for synchrotrons rings. Operating at
500 MHz, they may deliver up to 300 kW CW (TH2161B version). These
five-cavity klystrons are fitted with a modulating anode to adapt
operation to specific applications. They operate in vertical position.
Collector and body are water-cooled.window and guns are air cooled.

- TH 2167: up to 330 kW CW, at 400 MHz
The TH 2167 is
the latest generation of CW klystrons specially designed by Thales as RF
amplifiers for synchrotrons rings. The TH 2167 is experimented in the Large Hadron Collider
(LHC) project built at Franco-Swiss border west of Geneva. Operating at
400 MHz, it may deliver up to 330 kW CW. This five-integrated-cavity
klystron is fitted with a modulating anode to adapt operation to
specific applications. This tube is operated vertical, collector down.
Collector and body are water-cooled, electron gun and output window are
forced-air.

- TH 2178 klystron family: up to 800 kW at 500 MHz
The TH 2178 is the latest generation of CW klystron specially designed as RF amplifiers for synchrotrons and storage rings. It has been developed for DESY program. Operating at 500 MHz, it may deliver up to 800 kW CW. This six-integrated-cavity klystron is fitted with modulating anode to adapt operation to specific applications. This klystron is used vertical, collector down. Collector and body are water cooled, electron gun and output window are forced-air cooled.

TH 2089 klystron family: 1 MW W, at 352 MHz The TH 2089 family is CW klystrons specially designed by Thales as RF amplifiers for synchrotrons rings. Operating at 352 MHz, they may deliver 1.1 MW CW (TH 2089 B & D version). These five-integrated cavities klystrons are fitted with a modulating anode to adapt operation to specific applications. They operate in horizontal position. Collector and body are water-cooled, output window is forced-air.
