Senior Vice President, in charge of Aerospace Businesses

François Quentin was appointed in May 2004, Thales, Senior Vice President in charge of Aerospace and member of the Thales Executive Committee. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thales Avionics in 2000 and Senior Vice President, Avionics Systems in 2002.

François Quentin joined Thomson-CSF in 1977 (called Thales since 2000), holding a series of positions as engineer and project manager for communications and command systems. From 1989 to 1992 he headed the fixed communication networks business unit. He was Chairman and CEO of Auxilec, a subsidiary of Thomson-CSF, from 1992 to 1999, when he was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of Sextant (now called Thales Avionics).

He is member of the council :

  • GIFAS (French Aerospace Industries Association)
  • ASD (Aerospace and Defence, Industries Association of Europe)

and

  • co-Chairman of ACARE (Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe).

Born in 1953, François Quentin graduated from the ENS Telecom engineering school. He is a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour.
