I started my career at Thales in 2000 at head office in the Financial Department. But after two and a half years, I felt I wasn't getting anywhere; I needed to find something else and keep on learning. I applied for mobility. After consulting the human resources manager of my professional family, I had the benefit of Thales Université training. Via the "Finance network" and talking with colleagues, I got an offer to do business control in the units. In changing jobs, I had to cope with a number of difficulties: different working patterns, diversified activity, a new vocabulary and new priorities, not to mention the new computerised reporting system. I was tutored for a while and gradually gained my independence. My advantage is that I have worked at head office and know what they expect from the units.
