Firmly established as one of the world's leading aerospace exhibitions, Berlin Air Show is held every two years. It offers a rich specialised conference programme and has developed into a high-profile event for industry, politics and the media. The exhibition has an almost 100-year history, and has expanded rapidly and steadily since 1992, when - in the wake of German reunification - it was able to return to its original location, Berlin. In 2006, the event welcomed over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, with a total of 250,000 visitors.
