The Aviation Expo China has become the largest and most respected exposition in China. There have been a total of 11 expositions, with the first in 1984 and it has served over 1,800 exhibitors from over 31 countries worldwide. This show primarily focuses on civil, military and industrial aviation, airports and air traffic control.

One of the focal points of Thales's presence at the Aviation Expo China will be a demonstration of its surveillance and control systems, most notably its Maritime patrol aircraft with its capabilities in maritime surveillance. Other capabilities on display will be Thales's expertise in air traffic management, surveillance systems and the major industry initiative Air Traffic Alliance. Thales will also focus commercial airlines, particularly civil aircraft.
