Thales Academia

Thales Academia is Thales’s scholarship programme for talented foreign students.

Thales, in cooperation with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has created the Thales Academia programme to welcome and assist foreign students studying at selected graduate schools in France. Launched in 2006, the programme provides academic and financial support to highly-qualified overseas graduate students hailing from India, China, Russia and Brazil.

All students admitted to the competitive programme receive:

  • Scholarship for the year
  • Intensive French-language training
  • Accommodation support
  • Health insurance
  • Personal mentoring by a manager
  • Assistance in finding internships

Europe's top engineering or business schools have undertaken to provide the students with top-quality teaching and services. The internationally renowned partner schools deliver Master's degrees in engineering or management science. Forty eight students are currently enrolled in Thales Academia for the 2007-2008 academic year.

  • Ecole Polytechnique (engineering school)
  • Ecole Télécom Paris-Tech (engineering school)
  • Ecole des Mines de Paris (engineering school)
  • Ecole Centrale Paris (engineering school)
  • Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'ingénieurs (engineering school)
  • HEC Paris (business school)
  • ESSEC (business school)
  • Université Paris-Dauphine (business school)

The programme is part of Thales's global corporate responsibility effort to contribute to aiding youth in many countries learn the latest technologies and sharpen their skills.
